  • What do I need to open an Account?
    In order to open a checking or business account, please visit one of our local branches and a SWSB Employee will be happy to assist you.
  • Are my deposit accounts FDIC insured?
    Yes, Individual customer accounts are insured by the FDIC up to $250,000 per owner. Greater FDIC insurance coverage may be available depending on account registration.
  • Can I open a savings or checking account online?
    Currently you cannot open an account online.
  • Is interest paid on my checking account?
    Yes, only if it is an interest bearing checking account.
  • What if I'm away for an extended period of time; will my account be deleted for "low usage"?
    Accounts become inactive after 3 months and deleted after 12 months due to inactivity. After accounts go inactive notifications will be sent to the email we have on file. (Note: ensure emails are updated and accurate.)
  • What is SWSB Bank Online Banking?
    Online Banking allows you to access your SWSB accounts straight from your computer, tablet or smartphone. Whether you're at home or on the go, online banking at SWSB allows you to check your balance, deposit checks, pay bills, transfer money and manage your accounts.
  • What type of accounts am I able to access through Online Banking?
    You can add all types of accounts such as Checking, Savings, CDs, Money Markets and Loans. There is no limit to how many accounts you can link to your online account. However, you must be a Primary/Secondary Owner or an Authorized Signer on the requested account.

  • How long is the usual waiting period before I can start using my Online Account?
    Personal profiles the access is immediately as long as all questions are answered correctly. An email confirmation will be sent with your username. Business profiles will take 1-2 business days. An email confirmation will be sent with your username.
  • Would I be able to transfer money from my Savings or Money Market accounts to my other accounts?
    Federal regulations restrict the number of transactions that you can make from Money Market and Savings Accounts. You may NOT make more than SIX (6) pre-authorized electronic transfers, which include computer initiated transfers, telephone transfers, checks, and point-of-sale transactions during a given monthly statement period. Violators will be charged a fee of $25 per transaction after the allotted SIX (6) transfers.
  • Where can I go to apply for a mortgage?
    You have many choices, You can apply at any one of our branch locations, or you can make an appointment with one of our experienced loan officers.
  • What are your current interest rates?
    Interest rates vary on a daily basis; contact our mortgage experts for current rates.
  • Why would I use a Mortgage Broker over going direct to my bank?
    There are several advantages to using an independent mortgage broker over a bank or mortgage banker. Brokers have several lenders they can submit your loan application to. This makes them an attractive option, especially for borrower's with difficult loans such as low credit scores, or income issues.
  • What is a Mortgage Broker?
    A mortgage broker is an intermediary who brings mortgage borrowers and mortgage lenders together, but does not use its own funds to originate mortgages. Mortgage brokers exist to find a bank or a direct lender that will be willing to make specific loan an individual is seeking.
  • What is an APR?
    The APR or Annual Percentage Rate is the cost of credit to the borrower disclosed as an annual rate. The borrower can typically use the APR to compare loans from different Lenders.
  • Is my deposit available after I make my ATM deposit?
    If the deposit is cash, the funds will be available; check deposits will have the normal applicable holds.
  • Can I cash checks through the ATM?
    Funds for the check being deposited will not be available immediately. You will have to withdraw funds that exist in the account.
  • Can I make a deposit to another banking institution from the ATM?
    No, deposits can only be made into your SWSB Bank accounts.
  • What is the maximum amount of money I can withdraw from an ATM? What is my daily limit or purchase limit on my ATM card?
    This varies depending on the individual debit card. Visit your local branch or call Customer Care to find out the limit.
  • What should I do if my ATM/Debit Card is lost or stolen?
    Contact SWSB Bank immediately and a representative will be able to assist you with this matter. If you have the SWSB App, you can suspend or cancel your card.
